A Personal Invitation from Paul: Come to Greece!
Grace and peace to you, my dear friends!
I write to you from across the ages. How wonderful it is to know that you have my letters! Yet, let me ask: Have you ever longed to see where my ministry began? I invite you now to come and witness it for yourself.
In your age, knowledge is at your fingertips—my words are read on screens, heard in sermons, and pondered in study. But some things cannot be truly understood through words alone. The dust of Corinth beneath your feet. The ruins of Philippi, whispering of miracles. The stillness of Mars Hill, where human wisdom met divine truth. These places in Greece are not just remnants of history; they are living testimonies of God’s power.
Why Must You Come to Greece?
You’ve read of my journey, but will you walk it? Perhaps you wonder, “Paul, these are ruins—why should we visit?” My brothers and sisters, faith is more than words—it is lived. Reading my letters is one thing, but standing where I stood? That is another. Feel the history, the struggle, the triumph. Understand why we endured and why the Gospel was worth it.
In Corinth, I worked tirelessly to strengthen the church, reminding them: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit?” (1 Corinthians 6:19). In Philippi, I was beaten and imprisoned—yet we sang praises until the earth shook (Acts 16:25-34). In Athens, on Mars Hill, I stood before the philosophers, declaring the unknown God they sought (Acts 17:23). The world still debates faith and reason, but truth remains—while the wisdom of this world fades, Christ endures.
Why Experience the Aegean Cruise?
You’ve read of my travels across the Aegean—now, I invite you to experience the waters for yourself. Sail to Ephesus and Patmos, where the early church flourished. I journeyed by foot and on the simple vessels of that time; you, however, will enjoy a much more comfortable passage (I must admit, I’m a little envious). In Ephesus, where I taught for years and the Spirit moved mightily, stand among its ruins and listen as history speaks. Walk the paths of Patmos, where John received his vision, and feel the awe of revelation.
Why Be There in Person?
Can a letter truly replace the presence of one who lived and walked these paths? Can a photograph capture the essence of a place where God’s hand shaped history? You can read about these places, but to stand where I stood—to see, touch, and feel—is an experience beyond words.
