What do I need to prepare before my departure to Israel?

With effect from 21 May 2022, travellers will not need to take any COVID tests before boarding their flight and after landing in Israel. Travellers will only need to complete their entry statement.

It is mandatory to have a health insurance policy with coverage for the treatment of COVID-19.

Do I need to submit an Entry Statement Form to Israel before departing for Israel?

You will need to fill out the Entry Statement Form with 48 hours prior to departure to Israel, the earlier the better, at https://corona.health.gov.il/en/flights/ You will need to upload documentation of vaccination or recovery in the Israeli entry statement.

You must keep and present a digital copy of the confirmation of the statement form or a printed copy. Keep this confirmation until after passing through immigration in Israel.

What is a Green Pass?

If you are considered vaccinated or recovered according to the Israeli Ministry of Health, you can receive a Green Pass that will exempt you from entering isolation if exposed to confirmed COVID case in Israel.

Those who have a certificate of vaccination or recovery that can be digitally verified through the Israeli Ministry of Health’s systems, you will upload your certificate to the statement form and receive a Green Pass to your email when the form is completed.

Vaccinated individuals who do not have a certificate that can be digitally verified through the Israeli Ministry of Health’s systems will declare their vaccination status in the form and attach the relevant documents to the statement form, you will receive a Green Pass to your email when the form is completed.

Recovered individuals who do not have a certificate that can be digitally verified through the Israeli Ministry of Health’s systems will not automatically receive a Green Pass after filling the form. If you are required to enter isolation following exposure to a COVID patient, you will be able to present to the Israeli Ministry of Health epidemiological researcher relevant documents.

What documents do I need to present at airport check-in at Changi Airport?

During the airport check-in at Changi Airport, you are required to present the following document to airline representatives:

  • A confirmation attesting to the completion of the arrival statement form. You can present a digital copy of this confirmation. You are not required to print it. Keep this confirmation with you. You need to present upon arrival in Israel.

You are also required to present one of the following documents:

  • Certificate of vaccination
  • Certificate of recovery that can be digitally verified through the Ministry of Health’s systems
  • Clearance for arrival in Israel from the Exceptions Committee.

What should I expect at airports and on flights?

Travellers are expected to arrive earlier than usual at airports to allow additional time for potential health screening and safe distancing protocols. Airlines and airports will enforce their own health and safety measures and travellers must adhere to the prevailing guidelines in place.

What should I do if I am tested positive in Israel?

The IDF Home Front will contact our Israel land tour operator. You will be transported in an ambulance to an assigned hotel where you will stay in insolation for at least 5 days. An antigen test must be taken on the 4th and 5th evening of the isolation. If one of these two tests is positive, you will need to stay until the end of Day 7 before receiving a certificate of recovery. All costs incurred will be at your own expense.

What should I do if I am exposed to a confirmed COVID case in Israel?

If you are not considered vaccinated or recovered according to the Israel Ministry of Health and you do not receive a Green Pass after filling out the entry statement form, you will be required to enter into isolation in case of exposure to a confirmed COVID case in Israel.

If I am test positive for COVID-19, who will pay for self-isolation in the managed isolation facility in Israel?

Omega Tours strongly recommends you obtain travel insurance to cover situations such as these. Unexpected incidents can happen when you travel which can bring additional personal risks and costs. Please purchase comprehensive insurance for your travel. Please be sure you are covered for the complete dates of your travel and please validate that you have the appropriate level of coverage for travel inconveniences, pre-medical conditions, medical expenses for sickness or injury (at least S$75,000 per person), COVID-19 related medical expenses and emergency medical evacuation and repatriation expenses (at least S$100,000).

Do I have to wear a mask when travelling?

Masks must be worn by all travellers whenever required by local health authorities.

Returning to Singapore

Can I enter Singapore quarantine-free?

All fully vaccinated travellers do not require any Covid-19 tests to enter Singapore and can enjoy quarantine free-entry into Singapore.

What are the accepted COVID-19 vaccinations for entry to Singapore?

Travellers are considered fully vaccinated if they meet the following conditions at least 2 weeks before arrival in Singapore:

  • Received the full regimen of WHO EUL Vaccines, from a specific manufacturer, and
  • Met the minimum dose interval period.

What is the checklist for fully vaccinated traveller?

Travelling with Omega Tours

Will I need to have the COVID-19 vaccination to be allowed to travel with Omega Tours?

All guests travelling with Omega Tours are required to be fully vaccinated.

If I am medically unfit to be vaccinated, am I allowed to travel with Omega Tours?

Any person who is medically unfit to be vaccinated is not allowed to travel with Omega Tours.

How can I show you that I have been vaccinated?

You will be asked to show an authentic COVID-19 vaccination certificate (electronic or paper showing date and time of the vaccinations) which is current and valid in the travel destination, with the final or booster dose given at least 14 days before the start of your tour.

We recommend taking a picture of any paper vaccination certificates in case of loss of the original.

Please note that certain destinations may also require you to fill out additional forms online.

Must I purchase travel insurance?

Omega Tours strongly recommends you obtain travel insurance to cover situations such as these. Unexpected incidents can happen when you travel which can bring additional personal risks and costs. What happens if I test positive before departing for Israel and I am unable to travel?

If you test positive, you should self-isolate and delay travel as symptoms may well develop or until you have recovered from COVID-19. You will be unable to join your tour with a positive PCR test and Omega Tours recommend you contact your doctor and insurance provider.

If you test positive or if you are under COVID-19 Quarantine Order, Health Risk Warning or Health Risk Alert within 30 days before tour departure or on the day of the tour departure, you can receive full refund by travel credit with supporting documentations.

If I test positive for COVID-19 during the tour, who pays for the 7/14 days of quarantine in a hotel and the associated additional expenses like food, etc? What happens if I test positive before flying home or upon re-entering Singapore?

If you test positive for COVID-19 during the tour or prior to flying home, you will need to go into isolation for at least five days. Please be assured we will remain in contact until you are able to return home.

All costs incurred for having to quarantine will be your and/or your insurance provider’s responsibility, which is why Omega Tours highly recommend purchasing travel insurance before your tour begins.

If you test positive upon re-entering Singapore, you will need to follow the MOH guidelines.

What if I forget my vaccine certificate before checking in for my trip?

Travellers are required to be fully vaccinated and must be able to show documented proof of vaccination with the final dose given at least 14 days prior to the start of the tour upon check-in at Changi Airport. The airline staff will not be able to check you in until your vaccination status as been verified. Omega Tours recommends saving a picture of your vaccination certificate on your smart phone as a backup option.

Please note that guests will also need to comply with specific requirements imposed by airlines and/or authorities in the destination visited, which may be more restrictive than above.

Will the tour be cancelled?

Should the tour be impacted and unable to operate (within 30 days before tour departure) due to prevailing policies on COVID-19 travel restrictions imposed by the governments of Singapore and Israel, you can receive full refund by travel credit.
