Departing for Greece

What do I need to prepare for my flight departure to Greece?

Air travellers entering Greece are no longer subject to any COVID-19 restrictions.

For details, please refer to https://travel.gov.gr/#/

Is it mandatory to complete the Passenger Locator Form (PLF)?

It is not. However, a simplified PLF remains in operation, the completion of which is optional, for the sole purpose of enabling the traveller to issue an EU certificate of negative or positive COVID-19 test result. Travellers, who decide to fill out the simplified form, will receive the PLF with their unique Quick Response (QR) code via email.

The official portal of the Hellenic Republic to complete the simplified PLF is https://travel.gov.gr/#/ Please note that any other websites that act as intermediaries are not approved and are considered to be fraudulent.

While in Greece

Do I need to wear face mask?

As of 1st June 2022, face mask requirement in indoor areas is lifted. It only remains mandatory for all passengers (except children under the age of 4 and those with respiratory problems) on local public transport and in those areas of cruise ships, pleasure boats, yachts, and ferries where the use of mask is required.

Are there any cruise travel restrictions and embarkation protocols in Greece?

All guests arriving at the port must have their own COVID-19 Rapid Antigen negative test certificate, which needs to be taken on the day before embarkation for all guests aged 6 years and above. A negative Rapid Antigen certificate will be required at check-in to embark the ship. Please note that self-tests will not be accepted.

Our Greek ground operator can assist with the testing arrangements, from EURO 10.00 per person, subject to changes.

What happens if I get COVID-19 in Greece?

Patients will have to isolate for a minimum of five (5) days in their accommodation establishment, provided they do not need to go hospital, as per the orders of the house doctor. If the symptoms are mild and there is no need for hospitalisation, it is recommended that they remain in isolation for 5 days; no further testing is required.

It is important that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance policy with COVID-19 coverage. Please be sure you are covered for the complete dates of your travel and please validate that you have the appropriate level of coverage for travel inconveniences, pre-medical conditions, medical expenses for sickness or injury (at least S$75,000 per person), COVID-19 related medical and hospitalisation expenses, emergency medical evacuation and repatriation expenses (at least S$100,000).
